Billings Clinic hosts Diabetes Prevention Lunch and Learn

Billings, MT— The Billings Clinic Diabetes Center invites the public to attend a free informational "Lunch and Learn" session called Getting control of your health: diabetes prevention presented by Dr. Jeanne Ortiz and registered dietitian Therese Hrncirik, RD, CDE. This informational session will take place on Tuesday, November 18 from noon - 1 pm in the Mary Alice Fortin Health Conference Center at Billings Clinic. A light lunch will be served.

Topics covered during this educational opportunity include metabolic syndrome, prediabetes, and modifications everyone can make to help decrease their risk of developing diabetes.

    This one hour session will provide you the information you need to see if Lifestyle Balance is right for you. The 12 month journey will begin the end of January.Lifestyle Balance is the National Diabetes Prevention Program focusing on reducing your risk of type 2 diabetes through losing weight and becoming more active. The first 16 weeks you will meet weekly, followed by bi monthly and monthly sessions. The program is 12 months in duration.
