Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) and Billings Clinic exploring partnership

Lewistown, MT— Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewistown and Billings Clinic have signed a non-binding Letter of Intent (LOI) to explore a formal partnership between the two organizations. The CMMC Board and leadership have spent more than a year reviewing and evaluating several organizations as prospective partners. CMMC chose Billings Clinic because of the combination of Billings Clinic’s strong reputation for quality and the experience of partnering with multiple rural Critical Access Hospitals with the goal of helping to sustain and grow health care services for people living in rural Montana and Wyoming.

"We are very excited about how this journey is resulting in a relationship with Billings Clinic that will help us continue to enhance medical services for our community," said Dave Phillips, Chair of Central Montana Medical Center Board of Directors.

When this partnership is finalized, CMMC will join eleven other health care organizations in Montana and Wyoming that are affiliated with Billings Clinic. Billings Clinic has affiliation relationships with Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber, Colstrip Medical Center, North Big Horn Hospital in Lovell, Wyoming, Daniels Memorial Health Care in Scobey, Beartooth Billings Clinic in Red Lodge, Stillwater Billings Clinic in Columbus, Livingston HealthCare, Roundup Memorial Healthcare, Wheatland Memorial Hospital in Harlowton, Glendive Medical Center, Sheridan Memorial HealthCare in Plentywood and has clinics in Miles City, Bozeman and Cody, Wyoming.

"Billings Clinic believes this new relationship will bring long term benefits to patients. By working together, we can make a positive difference in how health care is delivered in this region of Montana," said Nicholas Wolter, MD, CEO of Billings Clinic. "This closer relationship also offers opportunities to enhance continuity of care.”

CMMC and Billings Clinic will now engage in the process next steps to move forward with the finalization of the relationship agreement.
