Central Montana Medical Center and Billings Clinic sign affiliation agreement 

Billings, MT— Central Montana Medical Center (CMMC) in Lewistown and Billings Clinic signed a formal affiliation agreement, concluding a three-year long process of creating a new governance arrangement between the two organizations. In the new agreement, Billings Clinic will provide management services for CMMC. 

“We are very excited to announce this partnership with Billings Clinic,” said Mike Dowdy, CMMC CEO. “This new relationship will help us to continue enhancing medical services for our community.” 

This new affiliation agreement provides a wide range of ways the two organizations can collaborate to improve and enhance patient care in Lewistown and the surrounding area. The affiliation includes:

  • Stream-lined access to a new electronic medical record to enhance patient care and coordination
  • Increased access to specialists
  • Strengthening of physician partnerships
  • Educational opportunities for providers, board and staff
  • Formal leadership development programs
  • Process improvement
  • Reduced costs for supplies
  • Biomed services
  • Recruitment services, marketing and human resources assistance 

“Billings Clinic has a long tradition of partnering with Montana and Wyoming communities to advance rural health care,” said Randall Gibb, MD, Billings Clinic Interim CEO.  “These affiliations have allowed our regional partners to keep care local and have added specialty services in those communities through outreach and other clinical partnerships.” 

CMMC joins 11 other health care organizations in Montana and Wyoming that are affiliated with Billings Clinic, in addition to its co-ownership of Community Medical Center in Missoula.
