Billings, MT— Billings Clinic signed an agreement to sell Aspen Meadows Skilled Nursing and Assisted Living to a new owner, EmpRes Healthcare Management. EmpRes is an employee-owned organization with 59 facilities including seven in Montana that specializes in post-acute and skilled nursing care.

“With so many changes occurring on multiple fronts for health care organizations, we feel it is in the best interest of our residents and staff for Aspen Meadows to be owned and operated by an organization whose core focus is management of long term care facilities,” said Randall Gibb, MD, Billings Clinic interim CEO.

EmpRes will take over operations of Aspen Meadows on July 1, 2017 at which time Aspen employees become employees of EmpRes. All jobs will be retained in this transaction with current leadership remaining in place, and it is expected to be a seamless transition for current residents of Aspen Meadows.

Aspen Meadows has a five star rating from Medicare’s Nursing Home Quality Rating data.
