Cardiology Staff
Electrophysiology
Diagnose and treat diseases of the heart related to its electrical activity. Examines patient's heart rhythms using both non-invasive and invasive techniques such as catheter recording of spontaneous activity and responses to stimuli. Using results assess conditions such as complex arrhythmias, and the potential for developing arrhythmias, and design treatment. Proficiency required with therapeutic methods such as radiofrequency ablation, antiarrhythmic drug therapy, implantation of pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators and biventricular defibrillators. Proficiency required with complex-arrhythmia ablation, three-dimensional intracardiac mapping, and atrial fibrillation ablation. Proficiency in lead extraction experience preferred. Must appropriately refer patients to cardiac surgeon when need for corrective surgery is indicated.
Minimum requirements - graduate of approved medical school and three-year residency program. Fellowships in cardiology and electrophysiology. Board-certified in cardiology and electrophysiology or eligible for board certification within one year. Licensed in the state of Montana or presently eligible for licensure.

Research - Associate Medical Director
Billings Clinic Research Center in Billings, Montana is seeking an MD Clinical Investigator to serve as an Associate Director of Clinical Research.
- Help direct 25-35 pharmaceutical trials/year, plus carry out own research.
- New 21,000 sq. ft. building and 25 member staff.
- Clinical instrumentation includes DEXA scanners, digital radiology suite, ambulatory BP monitors and ECG.
- Analytical laboratory contains 3 GC/MS, 1 LC/MS, 3 stand-alone GC and 3 HPLC systems.
- Research kitchen facilitates dietary intervention and nutraceutical trials.
- Subspecialty clinics an option.
Board Certification in Internal Medicine, training in clinical pharmacology or other clinical research disciplines desirable.
Same Day Care
Vascular/General Surgery
Diagnose and treat diseases of the vascular system. Examines patient's peripheral arterial and venous systems via arterial waveforms, ankle-brachial indices and duplex ultrasonography. Using results assess disorders that are congenital, occlusive, aneurismal and inflammatory, and design treatment. Proficiency required with endovascular therapeutic methods such as balloon angioplasty, stenting, stent graft and vena cava filter replacement and thrombolysis. Evaluate and manage patients in a preoperative and postoperative environment, including intensive care.
Responsible for general/trauma/vascular surgery calls, 10 calls/month load, average 8 general/trauma, 2 vascular over 10 to 15 days.
Minimum requirements - graduate of approved medical school and five-year residency in general surgery, including trauma experience. Fellowship in vascular surgery with endovascular emphasis. Board-certified in surgery and vascular surgery or eligible for board certification within one year. Licensed in the state of Montana or presently eligible for licensure.
