Private Birth Suites
Mothers labor, give birth, and care for baby in a private birth suite. These suites include design elements that mothers told us they desire most. The combination of soft colors, soothing fabrics, spacious storage areas, television and stereo, coordinated furniture, and artwork emphasize comfort and support. Beautiful oak cabinetry tucks away state-of-the-art medical support equipment. A fully furnished bassinet, a sink to bathe baby, and full medical gas outlets are standard elements in each birth suite. Private bathrooms have Jacuzzi bath tubs. In-room sleeping accommodations are provided for daytime or overnight stays for the father or mother's birth partner. Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
Emergency transport flights for pregnant women or newborns are available on MedFlight's fixed-wing air ambulance. Cesarean Birth Suites and NurseryMothers who require Cesarean sections or other birth-related surgery have fully-equipped surgical suites immediately accessible in the Family Birth Center facility. Lactation ServicesTwo International Board Certified Lactation Consultants, who are located onsite, visit all breastfeeding moms while in the hospital to assist with breastfeeding or other lactation concerns. This free service also extends to the outpatient setting where new moms can seek guidance long after their hospital stay is complete. Located on the first floor next to the Pediatric Center. A Mother's Place includes two comfortable private nursing rooms and the lactation offices. The lactation consultants can be reached at 406-238-5083 or 1-800-332-7156. Support ServicesFirst-time mothers and even experienced moms often find that caring for a newborn is challenging and intensive. Support nurses are available 24 hours a day to offer mothers advice, support, and education.When mother and baby go home, continued help and advice are available through Billings Clinic HealthLine. Registered nurses are available for questions about your infant's medical symptoms, daily care or feeding needs, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Safety and SecurityThe security and safety of babies in our care is one of our highest priorities. We have a system of infant monitoring, security patrols and staff training to assure that each infant is protected and safe.
