Nursing Careers

You became a nurse because you are committed to helping people and saving lives. That’s important work. As the largest health care organization in Montana, Billings Clinic serves an entire region who looks to us to deliver safe and reliable quality care, each and every time.

At Billings Clinic, nurses are an essential part of a patient’s care team, and nurses work collaboratively within an integrated model of experts from multiple disciplines. As the first Magnet designated facility in the state of Montana, supporting nurses in the advancement of their career is at the core of our commitment to excellence.

Enhanced Education

Billings Clinic is committed to the support of nursing’s national initiative to achieve 80% Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) by the year 2020. We provide Enhanced Educational Assistance to current RNs with Associate degrees, including financial assistance for eligible nurses who are moving from an associate to a BSN degree.

At Billings Clinic, your commitment to helping people and saving lives deserves to be fostered. Maximizing your potential and helping you grow professionally is our commitment to you. We offer up to $12,000 reimbursement upon successful completion of BSN course work. For more information about our enhanced educational assistance, please call us at 406-238-2625 or 1-800-332-7156, ext. 2625.

Nursing Residency Program

Billings Clinic has developed a customized nurse residency program to help new registered nurses bridge the gap in the transition from student to competent professional nurse over their first year of practice. The Nurse Residency offers a supportive environment which allows new nurses to gain the competence and confidence needed to be an integral part of the health care team at Billings Clinic.

The program consists of learning activities that will take place in a guided and supportive practice environment using experiential learning modalities such as simulation, game-based learning, and case studies. Nurse Residents will also form a connection to the residency support team, participate in monthly guided reflections, and journaling opportunities on their journey to become a reflective practitioner.
