Who Can Participate in the Science Expo?

The Science Expo is comprised of:

  • A regional science fair sanctioned by the Intel International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF)
  • Guest Scientist(s) Lecture(s)
  • Interactive Science Exhibits

Who Can Enter the Science Fair Competition?

All students from grades 1-12 in our 24-county region are invited to enter the science fair competition.

Students compete for gifts, cash prizes, awards, scholarships and the ability to compete on the international stage during the two-day event, all free due to the generosity of our sponsors.

Judges Participation

We are inviting anyone with an interest in science and kids to become one of 250 judges the evening of March 18th from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the campus of MSU-B. For your commitment and help with this event, we will provide dinner. You will judge between 6-8 projects. If you are interested, please sign up online or call 657-4642 or email

Exhibitors Participation

We are inviting anyone with a science based interest or business to provide hands-on fun and interactive exhibits for kids, families and the general public on Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the campus of MSU-B. Call 657-4642 or email the Science Coordinator at
