Billings Clinic and Bozeman Health Announce Expanded Collaboration in Bozeman
New agreement is aimed at expanding access to high quality health care for southwest Montana
Bozeman, MT (Oct. 16, 2025)—Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic are entering into a formal arrangement to expand access to health care at the west Bozeman medical campus developed by Billings Clinic on Wellness Way. Additional collaboration between the two Montana-Based health systems will provide a cost-efficient way to quickly offer increased patient access as both organizations plan for future growth and expansion of services.
Billings Clinic Bozeman opened in 2023, and was designed with future growth in mind, and now that vision is taking its next step forward. Located on 58 acres near the 19th Street and I-90 interchange the facility opened with multispecialty clinics and an ambulatory surgery center. Late last year, Billings Clinic and Bozeman Health collaborated to integrate Bozeman Health clinical services into available areas of the facility, with Bozeman Health leasing a portion of the space.
Building on this successful collaboration, the two organizations are now partnering for equal ownership of the undeveloped open land and are exploring ways to increase patient access in the outpatient clinical space and surgery center. Joint planning will begin immediately with a goal of delivering additional services and increased patient access over the next year.
“The relationship between Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic continues to grow with our shared goal of delivering excellent care close to home as independent, Montana-based health systems,” Bozeman Health CEO Kathryn Bertany, MD, said. “The Billings Clinic Bozeman facility is beautifully designed for exceptional patient care and convenient access. This expanded collaboration with a trusted partner ensures Bozeman Health is responsibly positioned to meet the needs of our rapidly growing community in southwest Montana.”
“Partnering with Bozeman Health enhances opportunities for our Bozeman-based specialists and clinicians to work together, share resources, and build strong peer relationships with Bozeman Health providers,” said Clint Seger, MD, CEO of Billings Clinic. “For years, our physicians have practiced at Bozeman Health’s Deaconess Hospital, and this new phase of collaboration will deepen those relationships — all while both organizations remain independent and Montana-based. Our shared goals are to expand care we can offer locally so patients and families can get the care they need close to home — avoiding the need to travel out of state whenever possible.”
Bozeman Health and Billings Clinic have a shared goal of creating efficient, cost-effective, and high-quality care to meet the evolving needs of the growing Gallatin Valley region. As the relationship expands both organizations will continue to operate independently.
