Billings Clinic earns an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group
New Grade for spring 2025 represents national recognition for commitment to patient safety
Billings, MT – Billings Clinic is honored to have earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety, in the spring 2025. This national distinction acknowledges Billings Clinic’s achievements in prioritizing patient safety by protecting patients from preventable harm and errors.
“Earning a Leapfrog ‘A’ grade highlights our longstanding commitment to quality and the dedication of many people and teams across Billings Clinic,” said Clint Seger, MD, Billings Clinic CEO. “We are proud of this recognition, not because of the grade itself but because it reflects our commitment to quality, compassionate care. Based on that commitment, we are always striving for excellence and looking for opportunities to constantly improve care for our patients.”
Leapfrog issues grades to thousands of general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measurements that look at performance in preventing patient harm and medical errors. This rating is intended to help inform consumers in making informed choices.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
“Achieving an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade reflects enormous dedication to patient safety,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “I extend my congratulations to Billings Clinic, its leadership, clinicians, staff and volunteers for creating a culture where patients come first.”
