Billings Clinic earns an ‘A’ Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group

Fall 2025 grade represents national recognition for commitment to patient safety

Billings, MT – Billings Clinic is honored to have once again earned an “A” Hospital Safety Grade from The Leapfrog Group, an independent national nonprofit watchdog focused on patient safety, in the fall 2025 ratings. This national distinction acknowledges Billings Clinic’s achievements in prioritizing patient safety by protecting patients from preventable harm and errors.

“This highlights Billings Clinic’s longstanding commitment to quality, compassionate care for all and the dedication of many people and teams here,” said Clint Seger, MD, Billings Clinic CEO. “We are proud of this recognition, not because of the grade itself but because it reflects our dedication to safe, quality care. Based on that commitment, we are always striving for excellence and looking for opportunities to constantly improve care for our patients.”
Leapfrog issues grades to thousands of general hospitals across the country based on over 30 measurements that look at performance in preventing patient harm and medical errors. This rating is intended to help inform consumers in making informed choices.
The Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grade is peer-reviewed, fully transparent and free to the public. Grades are updated twice annually, in the fall and spring.
“Earning an ‘A’ Grade means Billings Clinic made a true commitment to put patient safety first,” said Leah Binder, president and CEO of The Leapfrog Group. “We congratulate the leadership, Board, clinicians, staff and volunteers that all had a role to play in this achievement.”
