Pioneer Medical Center names new CEO

Billings, MT — Pioneer Medical Center in Big Timber welcomes Erik J. Wood as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Mr. Wood will join Pioneer Medical Center starting August 20, 2012 as CEO.

Mr. Wood will replace Bren Lowe who has served as CEO at Pioneer Medical Center since 2008. Mr. Lowe has accepted the position of CEO at Livingston HealthCare and will begin his new position starting August 13, 2012.

Mr. Wood comes to Big Timber from Missoula where he served as Director of Strategic Planning at Community Medical Center. His role at Community Medical Center focused on strategic decision making for operations, best practice implementation, organizational strategic planning, and program development.

Pioneer Medical Center worked with Billings Clinic during the recruitment process to select Mr. Wood as the CEO. Mr. Wood is employed by Billings Clinic, as a part of a management consulting contract with Pioneer Medical Center.
