Rain, Snow or Shine… Come Get Started for the Montana Women’s Run

Getting Started Clinics March 18 - May 6

Billings, MT – Ladies, has the cold weather left your exercise program in the dust – or mud? The Montana Women’s Run has the answer for you. Come join other women to warm up your cold muscles at “Getting Started” every Monday from March 18 – May 6, 2013 starting at 5:30 pm at Rocky Mountain College (RMC) and at Lockwood School.

The “Getting Started” clinics will help you get in shape with instructor-lead exercise and stretching techniques in plenty of time for the big run. Each Monday the FREE clinic will take place at 5:30 p.m. in Billings on the RMC outdoor track, or in case of inclement weather, inside the RMC Fortin Center, and in Lockwood at the school. Archie Cochran Ford is the sponsor of the Getting Started Clinics, and Wheat Montana will provide refreshments.

The annual Montana Women’s Run takes place on May 11, 2013. The Montana Women’s Run promotes women’s health and fitness, with proceeds benefiting local women’s services and scholarships.

To be eligible for the program you must be at least 18 years of age, BMI greater than 24 and be at risk for type 2 diabetes or cardiovascular disease. Lifestyle Balance is a comprehensive year long program focusing on nutrition, physical activity, and behavior modification to help you loose at least 7% of your body weight.
