Montana Women’s Run announces t-shirt design for 2016 run
Billings, MT – Every year, thousands of participants fill the streets of downtown Billings wearing the current Montana Women’s Run t-shirt. This year, the streets will be filled with walkers and runners wearing the 2016 seafoam green shirt that commemorates the 35th Anniversary for this event. This year’s artwork features a stylized Bitterroot flower and female runner at the center of the design. Creator Jim Heins states that the stylized flower and plant shapes (including the signature Bitterroot flower) integrate to form a visual impression of a blooming flower garden. Negative space left by the stylized flower shapes creates an image of a female runner – an element of “discovery” to involve the viewer in the design. As always, brightly colored blooming flowers symbolize women, life, vitality, and well-being. The running figure represents energy, power and strength.
