Acorn Pediatrics Joins Billings Clinic

Bozeman, MT –Acorn Pediatrics is pleased to announce that they are joining Billings Clinic to form Billings Clinic Acorn Pediatrics and Pediatric Specialties. The partnership provides collaborative pediatric and pediatric specialty care to children in the Bozeman area. Billings Clinic Acorn Pediatrics employs two physicians, Dr. Sheila Idzerda and Dr. Courtney Handlin, and six nursing and staff members. Additionally, pediatric specialists from Billings Clinic will provide cardiology, neurology, urology, pulmonology, endocrinology, and oncology/hematology care for kids at the new clinic.

“We continue to provide children with the fun and welcoming environment that we’re known so well for in the Gallatin Valley,” said Dr. Idzerda. “We have worked with Billings Clinic for many years to provide specialty pediatric services, and we see this partnership as an opportunity to streamline access to care and help us navigate the ever-changing world of health care.” 

Dr. Idzerda has been a pediatrician for 25 years, 16 of which have been in Bozeman. She went to medical school at George Washington University and completed her residency in pediatrics at Children’s National Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Handlin graduated medical school at Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed residency in 2015 at University of New Mexico Children’s Hospital before joining Acorn Pediatrics.
