Randall K. Gibb, M.D. Named Billings Clinic CEO
Billings, MT— Billings Clinic’s Board of Directors announces the appointment of Randall K. Gibb, M.D. as Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Dr. Gibb is a Gynecologic Oncology surgeon who has been with Billings Clinic since 2006.
Prior to joining Billings Clinic, Dr. Gibb was Associate Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Washington University St. Louis. When he joined Billings Clinic, Dr. Gibb was the first Gynecologic Oncology surgeon in the multi-state region.
Over the past 11 years, Dr. Gibb has expanded his role beyond clinical practice as a Department Chair, Medical Director of the Billings Clinic Cancer Center, and Chief Medical Officer of the clinic. In November 2016, Dr. Gibb was named Interim CEO after the retirement of long-time Billings Clinic CEO, Nicholas Wolter, M.D. Billings Clinic’s cornerstone principles require the CEO to be a physician. A nationwide search attracted over 150 high quality physician CEO applicants.
“Billings Clinic is a nationally respected organization, and it is the strong commitment of the physicians, leaders, staff, and Board of Directors that sustains our focus on excellent quality, safety, service and value,” said Joy Ott, Chair, Billings Clinic Board of Directors. “In his successive physician leadership positions and as a practicing surgeon, Dr. Gibb has gained a deep understanding of Billings Clinic, our patients, his physician colleagues, and the complexity of health care in our region and nation. This experience has allowed him to develop a vision that builds on our firm foundation as a physician-led organization. We are excited to continue Billings Clinic’s tradition of excellence under Dr. Gibb’s leadership.”
“I am humbled to have this opportunity to serve this great organization and continue to work with our team of dedicated and talented physicians, nurses and staff who care for our patients every day,” said Dr. Gibb. During their 11 years in Billings, Dr. Gibb, his wife Lee, and their two children have established strong roots and are actively involved in the community.
