Still safe. Still neccessary.

Early detection of breast cancer is key to higher survival rates, better prognosis, and lower treatment costs. The most effective way to detect early signs of breast cancer is through breast self awareness, routine breast exams by your personal physician or health care professional, and screening mammograms.

COVID-19 disrupted the mammogram screening cycle. And while a short-term delay may have little to no effect on a patient’s diagnosis and course of the disease, there’s worry that longer delays may lead to a later-stage diagnosis that requires more intense treatment.

We urge anyone who has postponed visiting their health care provider because of COVID-19 to get back on track. Make your appointment and encourage your family and friends to do the same.

The Reger Family Center for Breast Health has a comfortable and private environment for your mammogram. We offer the latest in screening technology. The Center is staffed by a dedicated, caring team of breast care specialists, including certified female technologists and board-certified radiologists. Dr. Tara Bowman, radiologist, is fellowship trained specifically in breast imaging. The team is catching cancer more often and earlier thanks to 3D mammography, or tomosynthesis.

Our team also provides world-class care to women with an elevated risk of developing breast cancer at our High-Risk Breast Clinic.  This clinic connects you to a multidisciplinary team that specializes in breast care. They work with you to evaluate your breast cancer risk and develop a personalized risk-management plan.
