Stroke Care

The Highest Level of Stroke Care, 24/7Stroke Centers Map

Billings Clinic serves patients across Montana and northern Wyoming. Our local, specially trained team uses the most advanced technology in emergent stroke treatment including, computerized tomography (CT) and biplane angiography (an imaging procedure that tracks blood flow) to treat stroke, aneurysms and other vascular diseases in the brain. This means stroke patients do not have to travel out-of-state to Utah or Denver to receive time-sensitive life-saving procedure.

What is a stroke?

A stroke occurs when the blood supply to a part of the brain is interrupted by a clot or bleeding. This interruption causes brain cells to go without oxygen.

Unfortunately, a stroke can strike people of all ages. The good news is, stroke is preventable. Normal blood pressure and cholesterol as well as regular exercise can dramatically lessen your risk for stroke.

Our Neurohospitalist team is dedicated to providing and improving inpatient neurologic care, with on-site availability for urgent evaluations and administration of time-sensitive therapies. Our physicians and providers care for hospitalized patients with, or at risk for, neurological disorders and disease; and, we have been a Primary Stroke Center Since 2005.
