Preparing for Pregnancy
Get ready for a healthy pregnancy with a preconception planning and care appointment. You and your OB-GYN will talk about your health, lifestyle, and any medical issues. Your doctor might offer tips to improve your health. This can help boost your chances of getting pregnant.
Free Pregnancy Tests
If you think you may be pregnant, find out for sure. Stop by the Billings Clinic Downtown office for a free pregnancy test (urine).

Your First Appointment
Make regular prenatal appointments with your doctor. This keeps you and your baby healthy during pregnancy. Your OB-GYN will ensure your pregnancy goes smoothly. Expect us to check your health and track your baby’s development at each appointment. Your care team can tell you how to manage pregnancy discomforts and recommend childbirth classes.
Dependable, Complete Care
Throughout pregnancy, you’ll have health checks, screenings, and tests. We’ll check your baby’s heartbeat and growth regularly. If there are any health concerns, we’ll address them early.
High-Risk Pregnancies
You may see a maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) doctor for a high-risk pregnancy depending on:
- Age - women over a certain age have more risks with pregnancy
- Long-term health conditions, such as diabetes or high blood pressure
- Genetic concerns
- Multiple fetuses (twins, triplets, etc.)
- Pregnancy-related health conditions (gestational diabetes, preeclampsia, etc.)
- Previous pregnancy loss (miscarriage)
