Pelvic Health Rehab for Women

Perinatal and postpartum care focuses on mom’s physical health to optimize mobility and function during and after pregnancy. Therapy can address pain related to pregnancy or delivery. Mom’s health postpartum is important for mom and baby bonding, mom’s mental and physical health, and to allow mom to care for her new baby and return to work or other activities pain free. Vaginal deliveries can be a trauma to the pelvic muscles and c-section is major abdominal surgery, both can benefit from pelvic rehab to ensure full healing of tissues and full return of muscle strength and function. It is important to address scar tissue after surgery for full recovery.

Therapy provides education on bowel and bladder health. Therapy can assist with:

  • emptying techniques
  • voiding schedule
  • retraining the bowel and bladder for improved control

Men also suffer from bowel and bladder issues including but not limited to incontinence and constipation. Pelvic floor rehab can be beneficial before and after prostatectomies.

Pelvic Health Rehab for Children

Children suffer from constipation, bladder incontinence (day and night), frequent UTIs, fecal incontinence, and incomplete emptying that can affect health and participation with school and peer activities. Therapy includes,
