Sleep Health

The Sleep Disorders Center located at Billings Clinic in Billings, Miles City, and Cody, WY, has helped thousands of people in Montana and Wyoming sleep better. Trouble falling asleep, staying asleep or keeping awake is a problem for one in four adults.

Not getting enough rest or disturbing the cycle and stages of restorative sleep can have significant consequences, impacting your lifestyle, relationships, job performance and general health. High blood pressure, chest pain and even heart failure can result.

Better sleep results in better overall health, less moodiness and increased memory, learning and reasoning.

The four most commonly treated sleep disorders are:

  • Sleep Apnea
  • Chronic Insomnia
  • Periodic Leg Movement Syndrome
  • Narcolepsy

A complaint that lasts a month or more should prompt you to ask your doctor for a referral to the Sleep Disorders Center at Billings Clinic.

The initial evaluation at the Sleep Disorders Center includes:

  • A review of your lifestyle and environment
  • Medical and sleep history as well as your physical condition
  • Recommendations that may be simple steps you can implement without further assistance.

If your situation is more complex, it may require a monitored sleep study which will indicate if treatment is necessary.
