Billing Resources
Patients who receive care at Billings Clinic in Billings, Bozeman, Cody, Miles City, West Yellowstone, Billings Clinic Broadwater, and Stillwater Billings Clinic can access their billing information through the Clear Balance Online Bill Pay Portal. With the portal, you will be able to:
- View your bill
- View all accounts for which you are the responsible party
- Set up a payment plan
- View payment history for payments made via the portal (does not include payments made via the former Online Bill Pay application)
- View financial assistance information
- View current and past statements
What does this mean for you, our patients?
You’ll start receiving your medical bills and statements digitally—by text or email —so you can view balances and make payments quickly and securely.
If you prefer paper statements, you can still choose to receive them by mail. Your information is always secure and protected.
This change will begin soon for all Billings Clinic patients.

What if I prefer paper statements?
If you would prefer paper statements and bills, you can change your billing to paper only by clicking on the link below, or by calling us at 855-217-6608.
Please note, when opting into Paper Statements, you will still have access to your bills digitally, as well as text and email communications, and can change your preference for print or electronic statements at any time.

ClearBalance is our trusted billing partner, so you may see their name on your statements and payment communications going forward. It's still your Billings Clinic bill, just easier to track and pay.

How do I create a ClearBalance account?
To create an account, you will need the following (you will need to create a separate account from your online Medical Record portal):
- An Encounter Number with a balance, which can be found on your most recent paper statement or letter
- Your date of birth
- A valid email address
