Registration Details

Cancellation/Refund Information: Cancellations received at least 48 hours prior to the start of class will receive a full refund and avoid processing fees. 

No refund will be awarded for cancellations received less than 48 hours before the start of class.

Staff cancelling less than 24 – 48 hours before the start of class will be considered a "no show" and their manager will be notified of their absence.


American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor Course is to develop proficiency in teaching, organizing, coordinating and conducting an PALS Provider Course. PALS Instructors must have a firm working knowledge and understanding of the PALS material. They are also expected to demonstrate in-depth detailed knowledge of current emergency cardiac care. Participants learn to design a provider course to meet the needs of a specific student population. Currently accepted principles of adult learning, the ability to sequence instruction, the use of interactive teaching strategies and evaluation of student learning and progress are essential facets of this course.

Pre-Course Requirements:

PALS Instructor Essentials on-line: Will be provided to you once your registration and payment is received. This contains essential information about teaching PALS for the AHA. Every candidate must complete this prior to class.

Have completed an Instructor candidate Application and other paperwork provider by the Training Center.

Have the most recent edition of the AHA PALS Provider manual.

Please fill out the forms below and return to the Training Center along with a copy of the front and back of your current PALS provider card for your registration to be complete.

Completion Requirements: The student instructor is required to teach 2 classes within 90 days of taking the AHA Instructor Course. The teaching must be completed with Billings Clinic Training Center Faculty. After you demonstrate these teaching abilities and competencies, you will be issued an instructor card.

Please arrive 5 minutes before the class starts so that we can begin on time. If you arrive more than 10 minutes after the class begins, you will not be admitted to class. You will need to reschedule for another session at your own expense.

Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the American Heart Association and any fees charged for such a course do not represent income to the Association.
