Billings Clinic a Billings, MT based multi-specialty clinic has an opening for one Geriatric Physician. Duties include: Diagnose, treat and prevent disease and disability in older adults through the primary care process. Treat conditions such as pain, falls, memory loss, incontinence, and medication side effects. Evaluate elderly patient's ability to care for themselves (e.g. prepare and eat meals, bathe, dress) Focus on all aspects of healthcare and work as part of the healthcare team to address conditions that affect the elderly. Medical professionals included in the team may include nurses, social workers, nutritionist, physical therapists, occupational therapists, pharmacists and geriatric psychiatrist. As a member of this team, help the elderly patient with aspects of his or her life that impact health like social support (e.g. spouse, children, other relatives), living conditions and home life. Provide care in a number of settings, including hospitals, nursing homes, rehabilitation centers, clinics and physician offices.

Minimum Education and Training Requirements: graduate of medical school, License to practice in the State of Montana, board certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatric Medicine within one year of employment. Training Required: 48 Months
