What is MyBillingsClinic?
MyBillingsClinic is a personal health resource which will enable you to securely use the Internet to help manage and receive information about your health, 24 hours/day. It consists of portions of your Billings Clinic electronic medical record.
In MyBillingsClinic you can:
- View your appointments
- Communicate with your doctor's office by sending a secure message
- Request a prescription renewal
- View your lab results
- View your allergy list
- View your immunization records
- View your medication list
- View your surgeries and procedures
With MyBillingsClinic you can also:
- View the medical records of a parent or an adult family member who may need your involvement in their health care
What is the cost of MyBillingsClinic?
There is no charge to using MyBillingsClinic.
Who can sign up for MyBillingsClinic?
All Billings Clinic patients, age 18 and older. You may also access the medical records of a parent or adult family member who may need your involvement in their health care.
How do I register?
To enroll, you may enroll online (see instructions here) or stop by any of the following locations: registration desks at most Billings Clinic locations in Montana and Wyoming or the Hospital; admissions desk at the Hospital Atrium, Health Information Management (HIM) department next to the south end of the cafeteria.
You must be age 18 or older, bring a valid photo ID, and must be present to register. Phone or online registration is not available.

What is IQ Health?
IQ Health is the name of the software tool that Billings Clinic uses to give you access to your electronic medical record. When you sign up for MyBillingsClinic and view your records, the IQ Health software brings that information to your computer. You will see the name "IQ Health" on some screens within MyBillingsClinic.
What is MyBillingsClinic Clinical Health Record?
These are the records recorded and used by your Billings Clinic health care provider. Your clinical health record can be viewed by your health care provider and you. In MyBillingsClinic, you can view your Clinical Health Record by clicking on the Clinical link.
When can I see my test results in MyBillingsClinic?
Your test results will be available automatically, generally within 2-3 days.
Why are certain test results not shared electronically via MyBillingsClinic?
According to Montana Health and Safety Code, medical providers are prohibited from releasing the following laboratory results via MyBillingsClinic, even though a patient may consent to their release: HIV antibody test; presence of antigens indicating a hepatitis infection; abusing the use of drugs; test results related to routinely processed tissues, including skin biopsies, Pap smear tests, products of conception and bone marrow aspirations for morphological evaluation, if they reveal a malignancy.
Other tests currently unavailable in MyBillingsClinic are X-ray images, EKGs and MRIs.
How is MyBillingsClinic secure?
MyBillingsClinic uses the latest 128-bit SSL encryption technology with no caching to automatically encrypt your session with MyBillingsClinic. All medical information is stored safely behind a firewall.
At Billings Clinic, we value our patients and are very careful in the way we safeguard personal health information. Our privacy notice describes our policies concerning health information and our commitment to protect the privacy of our patients.
How does my computer need to be set up to use MyBillingsClinic?
You need access to a computer connected to the Internet. Use Internet Explorer 6.0 or newer.
When I try to login, MyBillingsClinic keeps telling me "login unsuccessful."
Make sure your CapsLock key is not on. The password field is case sensitive. Make sure you do not enter extra spaces in either the MyBillingsClinic or password boxes and try again. If you have forgotten your User ID or password, call 406-247-6400 or 1-800-332-7156, ext. 6400.
When I was reviewing my records in MyBillingsClinic, I was logged out. What happened?
MyBillingsClinic wants to protect your privacy. While logged into MyBillingsClinic, if your keyboard remains idle for 20 minutes or more, you will be automatically logged out. Any information you have typed will be lost. We recommend that you do not leave your MyBillingsClinic account open if called away. Always log out.
