The Montana Women’s Run announced donations to women’s and children’s health and fitness programs in the Billings community from funds raised this year. The 2020 Montana Women’s Run was held as a virtual race in accordance with the guidelines set by the CDC, state and local agencies for the health and safety of all runners. This year’s funds are donated to six worthy causes.

Billings Clinic received a semi load of patient care supplies today from the Montana Department of Disaster and Emergency Services to help address rising numbers of patients hospitalized due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Site preparation work is commencing for the new Billings Clinic Bozeman campus along I-90 near the 19th Street interchange. The first phase features a 125,000 square foot destination ambulatory center. The initial work includes grading and installing the structural pier system needed for foundation work.

The rapidly increasing number of new COVID-19 cases in Montana and Wyoming is resulting in more people requiring inpatient hospital care. To allow Billings Clinic to open additional hospital bed space as inpatient volumes surge, St. John’s United is making available to the health care system a twelve-unit building that was vacated in March for such use if needed. Billings Clinic will temporarily use rooms at St. John’s United’s Billings west-end location to house and care for less acute hospital patients. As an off-campus Billings Clinic unit, it will become operational on Friday with Billings Clinic staff caring for 10-12 patients.

Billings Clinic, Montana’s largest health care organization, welcomes Toni Green-Cheatwood, DO, MBA, FACOS, as its new Chief Medical Officer. Green-Cheatwood brings an accomplished clinical background as a breast surgeon and a decade of health system leadership to the position.
