Medical oncology and hematology is the specialty of internal medicine that provides for the treatment of cancer and various blood disorders.
The team at Billings Clinic Cancer Center consists of five full-time medical oncologists/hematologists who specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of a variety of cancers including breast, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, head and neck, hematologic, central nervous system, skin, and lung cancers.
Through a collaborative, team approach, our physicians work to provide state-of-the-art care based upon an individual’s diagnosis and specific treatment needs.
Treatment
Examples of treatment provided by our physicians include chemotherapy, biotherapy (immunotherapy, gene therapy, biological response modifier therapy), and hormonal therapy.

At any given time, our medical oncologists have access to over 100 different clinical trials for the treatment of different cancer diagnoses through our membership in the Montana Cancer Consortium, a NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP), as well as various partnerships with industry sponsors.
