Blood (Hematologic) Cancer Program

Billings Clinic's Blood Cancer Program team provides exceptional patient care for individuals with leukemias, lymphomas (Hodgkin's and Non-Hodgkin's), and multiple myeloma through a team approach. The multidisciplinary team involves physicians, nurses, pharmacists, a cancer care navigator, and a social worker.

Treatment options for blood cancers often involve multiple types of treatment and access to clinical trials to provide state-of-the-art care.

Members of the blood cancer team participate in a weekly Tumor Board to review cases and ensure best treatment practices are offered to patients.

One of the unique components of hematologic (blood) cancer treatment at Billings Clinic is autologous Stem Cell Transplant Center for patients with acute myeloid leukemia, lymphoma and multiple myeloma. This procedure is an advanced cancer treatment which involves collecting stem cells from a person's own blood stream and saving these to give back after high-dose of chemotherapy is given. This helps to accelerate blood cell recovery after high-dose chemotherapy and improves survival.
