Prostate Cancer Program
Treatment options for prostate cancers often involve multiple treatment modalities, but focus on organ preservation and nerve sparing surgeries. Some of these prostate cancer treatments include robotic, laparoscopic and nerve-sparing prostatectomies, high dose rate brachytherapy (HDR), as well as IMRT. A wide range of clinical trials are also available for prostate cancer involving new investigational drugs and novel combinations.
Superior treatment of prostate cancers is provided by experienced urologists, radiation oncologists, and medical oncologists who collaborate in presenting the entire scope of treatment options. This multidisciplinary team approach to prostate cancer makes for seamless communication between all health care providers.
The prostate cancer program team is led by program leader Lisa Bland, MD, and patient care navigators Kathy Aders, RN, and Mary Lou Iverson, RN, OCN.
