ExpressCare

ExpressCare offers e-Scheduling, easy parking, convenient locations and decreased wait times. ExpressCare is available at three Billings locations, inside Albertson's stores - Heights, West, and Central.

ExpressCare offers the convenience of e-Scheduling with our mobile application. Our e-Scheduling App allows you to use your smart phone or tablets to quickly and easily reserve a time on the ExpressCare schedule.

We encourage you to make your appointment by e-Scheduling. If you are already in an Albertsons store, appointments can be made at each ExpressCare location from the kiosk in the waiting area.

ExpressCare is not an emergency care facility. ExpressCare has limited labs and no X-rays.

Office Visit Services

(ages 2+ unless specified). Please note that patients with complex medical conditions may be referred to their primary care provider or a higher level of care.

Seasonal Allergies (Ages 6+)

Allergies, also called "hay fever", present with symptoms such as: sneezing, a stuffy or runny nose, itchy or watery eyes, itchy throat/ears. These can be seasonal or year round.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you are experiencing sneezing, a runny nose, nasal stuffiness, itching of the eyes, nose, or throat. You may experience these symptoms seasonally or year round.
If you are outside the age range or if you are pregnant, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care. If these symptoms are accompanied by a flare-up of your asthma, shortness of breath, chest pain, hives, rash, swelling of the throat/tongue/lips, or difficulty swallowing, please call 911 and present to the nearest Emergency Department.

Athletes Foot (Ages 2+)

Athletes foot (tinea pedis) is a fungal infection that usually begins between the toes. It causes a scaly rash that usually causes itching, stinging, and burning.Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you or your child has a rash that is concerning for athletes foot. If you are outside the age range, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care if the skin rash looks like an abscess/boil, has discharge, bleeding, red streaks, or accompanied by a fever.

Bladder Infection (Females ages 8+)

A bladder infection or urinary tract infection ( UTI) is a bacterial infection that affects either the bladder or the kidneys.

Cost: $75, urine testing may be required at an additional cost

Our providers are available if you are a non pregnant female between the ages of 8+ having burning with urination, increased urinary frequency or urgency, increased night time urination, strong smelling urine, and/or mild lower abdominal discomfort with urination.
If you are: 1)a pregnant female, 2) a male, 3) younger than 8 or older than 74 or 4) a male child having symptoms, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care.

If you have taken the pain pill Azo/Uristat/Pyridium you will need to be seen at the SameDay Care. Also, if you are pregnant or having low back pain, fever, significant abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, vaginal discharge, abnormal menstrual bleeding, blood in your urine, concern of a sexually transmitted disease (STD), or if you self catheterize, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department.

Bug Bite (Ages 2+)

A bug bite is a skin lesion caused by an insect bite or bee sting.

Cost: $75

If you are between the ages of 2+, our providers will gladly see you if you recently had a bite or sting from an insect/bee that appears mildly swollen or concerning for infection.


Please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care if the bug bite looks like an abscess/boil, has discharge, red streaks, fever, or if you have a history of an infection called MRSA.


If your bite is accompanied by hives, problems breathing, swelling of the throat, lips, or tongue, please call 911 and present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Chicken Pox (Ages 2+)

Chickenpox (varicella) is a highly contagious viral disease that is characterized by a rash and vesicles (fluid filled rash).

Cost: $75

Chickenpox is predominately a childhood illness but non-immunized adults and immunocompromised adults can be affected as well. This rash is usually itchy with low grade fevers.

Our providers are available if you have a mild rash anywhere on your body, excluding the genitalia.

If the rash is accompanied by: bruising, a fever, peeling of the skin of the finger/toes, pink eye, hives, difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the lips/tongue/throat, leg swelling, or feel very ill please call 911 and present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Cold/Respiratory Illness (Ages 2+)

A cold/respiratory illness, also called the “common cold”, is usually caused by a viral infection. The symptoms include: sneezing, cough, runny/stuffy nose, sore throat, ear pressure or chest congestion. Antibiotics do not help an illness caused by a virus.

Cost: $75 +/- Rapid strep screen $25 +/- Influenza screen $25 (if needed)

Our providers are available if you are between the ages of 2+ and experiencing mild “cold” symptoms that include: dry cough, sneezing, runny/stuffy nose, ear pressure/pain, sore throat, and/or low grade fever.
If you are outside the age range with the above symptoms or are having high fevers, moderate chest congestion, productive cough, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care.
If you are experiencing chest pain, shortness of breath, chest pressure, difficulty swallowing, facial swelling/redness, please call 911 and present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Cold Sore (Ages 12+)

A cold sore is an inflamed blister in or near the mouth/lips, caused by the herpes simplex virus.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you have a simple cold sore, either for the first time or if this is a reoccurrence. We are also able to write a refill of your current medication for your cold sore. Of note, we are not able to do definitive lab testing but will diagnose by clinical exam.
If you are outside the age range, want definitive testing, are having a fever or abscess, or are having similar sores on other areas of your body (ex: genitalia), please call your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care.

Dental Abcess (no narcotics, ages 18+)

A cold sore is an inflamed blister in or near the mouth/lips, caused by the herpes simplex virus.

Cost: $75

Assessment & medical treatment of dental pain or tooth abscess.  Unable to prescribe narcotic pain medications.

Ear Infection/Pain (Ages 2+)

An ear infection is an infection that can cause pain in the ear, fever, and/or trouble hearing.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you are within the age range and experiencing ear pain, discharge or blood from the ear, or fever. This may be associated with a cold/respiratory illness or due to recent swimming.

If you are concerned of a foreign object in the ear, please present to your nearest SameDay Care. If the ear pain is accompanied with redness or swelling of the skin around the outside of the ear or onto the cheek/eye region, or you are not able to open your mouth completely, please present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Eczema (Ages 2+)

Eczema (atopic dermatitis) is a chronic, itchy, inflammatory skin disease that occurs most frequently in children, but also affects many adults. The rash is accompanied by skin dryness, redness, oozing and crusting.

Cost: $75

EpiPen Renewal (Ages 12+)

Cost: $75

EpiPen & Auvi are medications that are used in the treatment of anaphylaxis, a severe, potentially life-threatening condition. ExpressCare can renew your existing prescription for these medications. If the original prescriber is not affiliated with Billings Clinic, please bring the old/expired pen to your visit. Note: ExpressCare does not stock these medications for emergency use. If you are experiencing symptoms of anaphylaxis, please proceed directly to the emergency department.

Gout FLARE (Ages 18 - 79)

Gout is arthritis that happens when you have too much uric acid in your blood and it forms sharp crystals in one of your joints.  

Cost: $75

Express Care offers assessment & pharmaceutical treatment of gout flare in individuals who have been previously diagnosed with gout.

Impetigo (Ages 2+)

Impetigo is a contagious superficial bacterial skin infection observed most frequently in children. It is characterized by thick, adherent crusts with a characteristic golden appearance on the skin.

Cost: $75

Lice (Ages 2+)

A common condition caused by infestation of the scalp and/or body by a parasite called Pediculus humanus capitis/ Pediculosis humanus corporis (lice). Most patients infected will have itching and/or irritation at the site with the visible presence of hair and/or body louse.

Minor Burn (Ages 2+)

A minor burn is a burn due to a thermal source that creates a reddened area that only affects the superficial skin (i.e. 1st degree burn).

Cost: $75 + Tetanus Vaccination $25 (Td) or $40 (TdaP)(as needed)

Our providers are available if have a reddened burn from a thermal source (hot water, curling iron, hot pan, etc.) that does not break the skin or cause large blisters. We are also able to update your tetanus vaccination during your visit as it is very important to be current on your vaccination when you have a burn.
Please present to your nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department if the burn area is: larger than your palm (except for sunburn), goes all the way around an arm/leg, has large blisters or skin breakage, red streaks, discharge or abscess, bleeding, fever, significant pain requiring pain medications, a burn from chemicals or from being exposed to the cold, contamination of the skin, or burn on the face or genitalia.

Minor Sprain of Ankle (Ages 12+)

Minor Sprain of Ankle

Cost: $75

Patients with ankle injury that are still able to walk on the affected foot. Consultation and over-the-counter splinting. No radiologic test, must be able to walk.

Motion Sickness Prevention (Ages 18+, non-pregnant)

Motion Sickness Prevention Visit.

Cost: $75

Also known as airsickness, seasickness, or carsickness, motion sickness is a general feeling of illness that can include dizziness, nausea, vomiting, and sweating that typically occurs during travel. If you are known to get motion sickness and will be traveling, our providers may be able to give you medication that might keep you from getting sick. Note: If you are currently experiencing dizziness, nausea, or vomiting, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department.

Pink Eye (Ages 2+)

Pink eye or “conjunctivitis” is an inflammation/infection of the eye causing redness of the eye and discharge.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you or your children have reddened eyes with discharge. This may be accompanied by a cold/respiratory illness.

If you outside the age range or have the following symptoms: sensation of a foreign body, severe eye pain, blurred or double vision, a fever, or have a history of eye problems (glaucoma, iritis, keratitis) please call your eye doctor or present to the nearest SameDay Care. If you have had exposure to welding or feel there could be metal in the eye, please present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Poison Ivy (Ages 2+)

Poison Ivy dermatitis is an itchy rash due to contact to plants of the Anacardiaceae family (Poison Ivy, Poison Oak, Poison Sumac).

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you have a mild rash anywhere on your body, excluding the genitalia.

Rashes (Ages 2+)

A rash is an inflammation of the skin presenting as a change in the color or texture of the skin.

Cost: $75

Ringworm (Ages 2+)

Ringworm is a rash caused by a fungus. It is called “ringworm” because it can cause a ring shaped, red, itchy, rash on the skin. Ringworm is also called tinea. Ringworm can occur anywhere on the body.

Scabies (Ages 2+)

Scabies is an infestation of the skin by the mite Sarcoptes scabiei that results in an intensely itchy rash with a characteristic distribution pattern.

Cost: $75

Screening for Sexually Transmitted Infection (Ages 18+)

Cost: $75 + lab test costs

Screening exam for specific sexually transmitted infections (STI). Urine samples are sent to our lab and Billings Clinic will bill for the lab services. Urine testing will be required at an additional cost.

Shingles (Ages 2+)

Shingles (herpes zoster) is a viral disease that causes a painful vesicular (fluid filled) rash. It usually occurs in a linear pattern on just one side of the body. Although herpes zoster can occur at any age, it is mainly a disease of older adults (>60 years of age).

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you have a mild rash anywhere on your body, excluding the genitalia. The shingles vaccine is available from your health care provider. If you are outside the age range please call your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care. If you feel you need something stronger than over the counter medications for pain, please present to the nearest SameDay Care. If the rash is accompanied by: severe pain, bruising, a fever, peeling of the skin of the finger/toes, pink eye, hives, difficulty breathing, hives, swelling of the lips/tongue/throat, or leg swelling, please call 911 and present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Sinus Infection/Pain (Ages 2+)

A sinus infection or “sinusitis” is symptomatic inflammation/infection of the nasal cavity and sinuses lasting greater than 10-14 days.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you are experiencing sinus pressure/pain associated with: clear or colored nasal congestion, cold symptoms, seasonal allergy symptoms, mild fever and/or ear pain.
If you are outside the age range or if these symptoms are accompanied by headache, high fever, concern of foreign body in the nose, or dental/tooth pain, you should call your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care.

Skin Abrasion (Ages 2+)

A skin abrasion is a rubbed or scraped area on the skin.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you have a small skin abrasion that looks irritated or mildly infected.
Please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care if you are outside the age range, have a history of an infection called MRSA, are feverish, or if the abrasion is large, has an abscess/boil, discharge or red streaks.

Smoking Cessation (Ages 18+)

Cost: $75

Consultation to discuss options and obtain prescription for assistance with Nicotine Cessation.

Sore Throat (Ages 2+)

A sore throat or “pharyngitis” is any painful sensation localized to the throat (pharynx) or surrounding mouth area.

Cost: $75 + Rapid Strep Screen available for an additional cost (as needed)

Our providers are available if you have a sore throat either by itself or accompanied with cold/respiratory illness symptoms. We have the ability to order a rapid strep screen and a strep culture if the provider feels it is appropriate.

If you are outside the age range or if the sore throat is causing difficulty swallowing or talking; if you are unable to swallow food/fluids/saliva; or if you have a high fever, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to your nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department.

Stye (Ages 12+)

A stye is a red and painful lump on the eyelid. It happens when a small gland of the eyelid gets infected or inflamed.

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you are between the ages of 12+ and have recently developed a red, painful lump on your eyelid with or without discharge.
If you are outside the age range, please contact your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care. If the stye is: bleeding, large enough to affect your vision, causing your eyeball to be red, causing your surrounding eyelids or face to be red and swollen, causing blurred/double vision, or associated with a fever, please present to the nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department.

Sunburn (Ages 2+)

Sunburn is an acute, delayed, and transient inflammatory response of the skin to excessive exposure to ultraviolet (UV) radiation from natural sunlight or artificial sources (eg, tanning beds, phototherapy devices).

Cost: $75

Our providers are available if you are suffering from a sunburn that does not break the skin or cause large blisters. If you are outside the age range please call your health care provider for a timely appointment or present to the nearest SameDay Care. Please present to your nearest SameDay Care/Emergency Department if the sunburn area has: large blisters or skin breakage, red streaks, discharge or abscess, bleeding, fever, significant pain requiring pain medications, or involves the genitalia.

Swimmer's Itch (Ages 2+)

Swimmer's itch (Cercarial dermatitis) is an itchy rash that follows skin penetration by the schistosome cercariae. The distribution of the rash is limited to areas of the body immersed in water.

Cost: $75

Travel Consultation - International (Ages 18+)

Our providers are available prior to your international travels to review needed vaccines and medications for travel to specific foreign countries.

Cost: $75

Please present to the Riverstone Immunization Clinic (406-247-3350) if you also need immunizations such as typhoid, hepatitis A/B, yellow fever, etc. If you have recently returned from traveling and have fever, cough, diarrhea, illness, or concerns of malaria, please present to your nearest Emergency Department.

Procedures

Ear Wax Removal (Ages 15+)

The therapeutic washing out of wax buildup inside the ear.

Cost: $75/per ear 

Our providers and nursing staff are available to evaluate for a buildup of ear wax. We are able to remove the wax with a gentle lavage of warm water.

Suture/Staple Removal (Ages 2+)

Our providers are able to remove sutures or staples from repaired minor lacerations, excluding those placed on the face or secondary to surgery.

Cost: $75

If the sutures/staples are: embedded deep in the skin, placed on the face, placed by surgery/plastic surgery, appear infected, have an abscess, have red streaks, or if you have a fever please present to your nearest SameDay Care or Emergency Department.

Wart Treatment (Ages 2+) (up to 6 warts per visit)

The removal of simple warts with liquid nitrogen in a procedure called cryotherapy.

Cost: $99

Our providers are available to remove up to 6 simple warts per visit with liquid nitrogen.

Treatment of Previoulsy Diagnosed Skin Lesions (Ages 18+)

Seborrheic Keratoses (SK), Actinic Keratoses (AK), Lentigo (age spots), Molluscum, Skin Tags


Cost: $99

Our providers are available to remove up to 6 seesions with liquid nitrogen. Cannot be on face or genital regions.

Services - Must complete screening schedules at time of schedule to determine if eligible for service at ExpressCare. These services require prepayment are not billed.

Birth Control Prescription (Women Ages 15-45)

Visit for women ages 15-45 (non-smoker) without history of blood clots or cardiac problems who are looking for contraception in the form of oral birth control, patch, or NuvaRing.  3 month prescription.  Express Care providers are unable to obtain pap smear or offer Depo, Nexplanon, or IUD.

DOT Physicals (Ages 18+)

DOT Physicals - Payment is required at time of scheduling and can be done online or by downloading and scheduling through the cell phone App above. Restrictions apply for pre-exisiting conditions.

Cost: $140

Available at all three ExpressCare locations.

Driver’s responsibilities in preparation for appointment:

  1. Arrive 15 minutes before scheduled time.
  2. Bring corrective lenses for visual exam.
  3. Have driver’s license and DOT certificate, if this is not initial certification.
  4. Wear hearing aid, if restricted to use with driving.
  5. Be well rested, limit caffeine, and adequately hydrate with water.
  6. Avoid highly sugared drinks such as juice and soda.
  7. Do not smoke for 2 hours prior to your DOT exam.

  1. Head injury in the last 5 years with loss of consciousness (LOC)
  2. Seizures and/or Epilepsy
  3. Heart disease or heart attack history
  4. Heart Value Conditions-regurgitation or prolapse
  5. Heart Surgery including:
    • Pacemaker
    • Valve replacement
    • Angioplasty (stent)
    • Open heart surgery
  6. Macular eye disease
  7. Sleep disturbance with or without the use of CPAP
  8. Stroke or paralysis
  9. Diabetes Mellitus
  10. Currently treated with Radiation or Chemotherapy for cancer
  11. Missing or impaired hand, arm, foot or leg

Epi Pen Refills (Ages 2+)

Patient consultation and visit to refill emergency EPI pens with those with medically documented history of allergies and previous EPI pen prescription. 


Cost: $75

Eyelash Growth Consultation (Latisse RX refills, Ages 18+)

Cosmetic prescription to grow eyelashes for those qualifying. Restrictions apply for pre-exisiting conditions.


Cost: $75

See your ophthalmologist if you use glaucoma medication, have a history of glaucoma or intraocular inflammation; have a history of retinal detachment; have macular edema or degeneration; have herpes of the eye-currently pregnant; are currently nursing - allergy to bimatoprost.

Sports Physicals (Ages 11-21)

A screening pre participation exam for healthy high school and middle school students engaged in Montana sports activities. Age limits should be 12-21.

Insurance will not be billed. Parental consent forms must be completed and signed prior to appointment by parent or legal guardian.

Cost for the month of July only (at the Central location ONLY): $40

 
Cost: $75 (prepaid); Additional $7 if urine test is required.

Students with chronic health problems should see their primary care provider for these exams. All students should fill out the MHSA form before registering and bring it to the the appt. Required forms are available at your school or online at mhsa.org . These forms may be available at the express care site. This is not a pre participation exam for other activities or college sports. Parental consent will need to be obtained before the exam can be performed and payment will be check or credit card only at time of the exam.

Vaccinations

Hepatitis B (Ages 18+)

Adults getting Hepatitis B vaccine should get 3 doses – with the second dose given 4 weeks after the first and the third dose 5 months after the second.

Influenza (Ages 3+)

Flu is caused by the influenza virus and can be spread by coughing, sneezing, and close contact.

MMR (Ages 18 - 62)

MMR Vaccine-ages 18 - anyone with birth year after 1957

Pre-pneumonia Vaccines (Ages 18+)

Prevnar 13 or Prevnar 23 

Type of vaccine will be determined by provider based on previous history.

Tetanus (Ages 18+)

Tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis can be very serious diseases. These three diseases are all caused by bacteria. Diphtheria and pertussis are spread from person to person. Tetanus enters the body through cuts, scratches, or wounds.

Anemia Panel*

Anemia is a condition that occurs when the number of red blood cells and the amount of hemoglobin found in the red blood cells drops below normal. Red blood cells and hemoglobin carry oxygen from the lungs to
the rest of the body. Without a sufficient supply of oxygen, tissues and organs may be adversely affected.

Blood Count (CBC)

Screens for cell abnormalities and evidence of medical conditions. Most commonly used to screen for infection, anemia and other blood disorders such as leukemia.

Vitamin B12 & Folate

B12 and Folate level helps evaluate nutritional status such as malnutrition and/or malabsorption and can also be used to help diagnose the cause of mental or behavioral changes, especially in the elderly.
